18 - 20: Exhibition opening of “Wishing Well”

Based on the dark and surreal narratives of German and Slavic fairy tales, art students at Heidelberg University of Education develop critical reflections on social idiosyncrasies. Fragility and power are explored, as is the symbolic and material manipulation of the body. Themes such as longing, control, and transformation encounter imaginary spaces that oscillate between myth and reality. The narratives draw on elements such as the alchemy of magical plants and the dynamics of intimate encounters to question existing narratives and formulate their own perspectives.
