DESCRIPTION:Workshop Language: English. \n\nAn Introduction to Cyanotype. A
technique dating back to the 19th century\, developed by the astronomer
Sir John Herschel and the botanist Anna Atkinson in England. The
photographic prints\, with their beautiful cyan or Prussian blue hues\,
are unique and can be created through contact printing with objects\,
plants\, or drawings on transparent sheets\, or by printing from
negatives. It is this diversity that will be explored during the
workshop. The theme will be the exploration of one’s identity through
the creation of a small series of works.\n\nAbout the artist: \n\nA
  teacher\, artist\, and horseback rider\, Sarah Bedin-Londono does not
limit herself to a single field. The same goes for her artistic practice:
interested in image reproduction techniques\, she works with film and
digital photography\, various types of engravings\, and traditional
printing processes such as cyanotype. Her primary themes are the study of
  nature and landscape\, approached with a sensitive\, even dreamlike\,
  documentary style.
